0. — Bring a THING of affection/specific desire
1. — 21. oct: Introduction + screening.
9:00-10:00 — Introduction round of all participants + presentation of your object.
10:00-10:30 — intro to Dogma 95
10:30–12:00 — Screening of The Five Obstructions by Lars von Trier.
12:00-13:00 — LUNCH.
13:00-14:30 — Debate about the film. Present the rules: A3, finished prints/painting/etching etc. Bring 2 copies each class (if a painting make a scan and print that).
1. Obstruction: Take the thing and turn it into a composition + in pairs send via each other 3 obstructions by tmr.

2. — 4. nov: No Ideas But in Things.

10:00-10:15 — Run through “No Ideas But In Things” Allen Ginsberg / William Carlos Williams / Source Type.
10:15-12:30 — Part 1. In timed sessions, present your composition ONLY by description of what we SEE(no mention of the name of the thing, a bit like the Pyramid game). Comments are only analysing the meaning of the components.
12:30-13:30 — LUNCH.
13:30-15:00: Part 2. – I I –
15:00-16:00: Oblique Strategies presentation + everyone is given 3 cards for the next composition.

3. — 18. nov: Oblique Strategies.

10:00-10:15: Move a date, medical treatments in January are causing some challenges.
-12:30 — Part 1. Run through, use free language, each participant explain how they solved their next composition.
12:30-13:30 — LUNCH.
13:30-15:00: — Part 2. – II –
15:00-16:00: Introduction of Jason’s publishing house + each participant is given a book as source material for next composition.
Restriction:
– Read the books out load to yourself or a someone who cares to listen. Poetry is as much about voice as text.
– Choose 1 spread of stanza’s to work with in relation to your current composition: Add opposite elements then what is there. Use as a transition between images. A counter image almost. Use only black and white.
– Each is to prepare a 1 min. response to their books. Notice what happened to you while you read, if you did not understand, then why. Describe the language.

4. — 9. dec: five-hundred places (w. Jason Dodge).

10:00-13:00 — Run of everyone through w. Jason,
13:00-14:00 — LUNCH.
14:00-15:00: — Agnes Martin Documentary
15:00-16:00: Introduction to Agnes Martin’s prose. + Next class:
a) Turn your composition into a text of numbered stanza’s manifesto style(according to amount of students equal to a total of 100: see sheet document): describe how you work.
b) Brings a NEW THING, one that you wish to give away. Bring it wrapped!

5. — 16. dec: X-mas manifesto special.

Christ cozy style: read the introduction to The Gift by Lewis Hyde.

10:00-12:30 — Part 1. Everyone reads their manifesto in one sitting(nothing else).
12:30-13:30 — LUNCH.
13:30-15:00: — Wild magic dice X-mas tournament (Danish Christmas tradition LG brings other dice)
15:00-16:00: — Next class: Add your thing to the composition + a stanza with the use of the 100-sided dice!

6. — 7. jan: Wild Magic 100-sided dice.

10:00-12:30 — Part 1. Run through, use free language, each participants explain how they solved their next composition
12:30-13:30 — LUNCH.
13:30-15:00: — Part 2. – II –
15:00-16:00: Introduce Louise Bourgeoise (format restriction/time of day): draw onto one hour a composition each day in a restricted format (24 days until next class – like 24 hours)

7. — 30. jan: Insomnia Drawings

10:00-11:00 — Everyone shows their compositions.
11:00- 13:00 — Working on the publication.

Prepare for a last version: Cover image – make the image a cover of our publication. Collect all your versions in a digital pdf.

8. — 10. feb: Last review + presentation prep. + publication printing for next week.

10:00-12:30 — Part 1. Run through, use free language, each participants explain how they solved their next composition + state their favourite version overall.
12:30-13:30 — LUNCH.
13:30-15:00: — Part 2. – II –
15:00-16:00: Prepare for presentation + publication.
